Electrical Engineering Issues
Gateway Southlake
The King’s Church experienced persistent issues with their two-wire irrigation system. Faulty wiring, decoders, and solenoids were causing disruptions, leaving their landscape at risk.
Our Solution
We conducted a thorough diagnostic of the system to pinpoint the root causes of the malfunctions:
Wire Fault Detection: Using specialized equipment, we identified wire faults that were disrupting the irrigation flow.
Component Replacement: We replaced faulty decoders and solenoids to restore the system’s functionality.
The Results
- Thanks to our targeted repairs, the church’s landscape flourished.
- The turf grass, shrubs, ground cover, and trees bounced back to health.
- The system now operates smoothly, ensuring the church’s landscape stays vibrant and well-maintained.
Working Smarter Not Harder
Advantage Storage
The Challenge
Advantage Storage faced a costly and disruptive repair. A competitor had advised that repairing their 2-inch mainline leak would require breaking up a large section of concrete, resulting in significant expenses and downtime.
Our Solution
We approached the issue with a more thoughtful and cost-effective strategy:
Leak Discovery: After conducting our own assessment, we determined that the leak was not under the concrete as previously suggested.
Targeted Repair: By accurately locating the leak, we were able to make the necessary repairs without disturbing the concrete, saving the customer from unnecessary demolition costs.
The Results
Our solution delivered substantial benefits to the client:
- Cost Savings: Advantage Storage avoided the expense of concrete demolition and repouring.
- Water Efficiency: The repaired mainline reduced water waste, leading to lower utility bills.
- System Restoration: The irrigation system was quickly brought back online, ensuring the landscape received proper watering without delay.

Main line leak
Crossroads Christian Church
The Challenge
Crossroads Christian Church faced several irrigation issues that were jeopardizing their landscape’s health and increasing water waste. Their irrigation system suffered from a 6-inch mainline leak, malfunctioning valves, broken sprinklers, and outdated controllers that made managing the system difficult.
Our Solution
We tackled the problems with a comprehensive approach:
Mainline Repair: Our team excavated a 6-8 foot deep trench to access the damaged mainline. We utilized durable metal couplings to ensure a long-lasting repair.
Valve and Wire Restoration: We repaired faulty irrigation wires to restore valve functionality. For valves that couldn’t be salvaged, we installed new ones to ensure efficient water flow.
Controller Upgrade: We replaced the outdated controller with a modern, remote-operated system, giving the church the ability to manage their irrigation schedule from anywhere.
Sprinkler Repairs: We fixed broken sprinkler heads and adjusted the system to withstand impact from large mowing equipment, reducing future breakages.
The Results
The improvements made a significant impact on the church’s landscape:
- The turf grass, shrubs, ground cover, and trees regained their vibrant health.
- Water waste from leaks and broken heads was eliminated.
- The church was able to implement a reliable watering schedule aligned with their mowing schedule.
- The new remote-operated controller simplified irrigation management, making the entire system more efficient and user-friendly.
